Default Interior Lights Staying ON!??!

Sometimes i will close my doors and my interior lights will stay on and not go off. It seems like this happens mostly after it has rained or I wash the car. My temporary solution has been just to pull out the fuse. But it will still do this from time to time and is becoming really irritating having to pull the dang fuse to solve the problem. Any suggestions or anything??????

there is a courtesy light controller... somewhere! that could be bad, or, a bad door switch.

Try adjusting the door switches. Sometimes the water lubricates the pins and they get pushed in a little too much. If you look at the switches (one on each bottom rear corner of the door) you'll see that there's a pin with a round head in the middle of the plunger. With a small flat blade screwdriver, pry these pins out slightly. That makes the plunger a little longer so the switch gets pushed in all the way when the door is closed, and turns everything off properly.

sounds like the interior dimmer switch thing.. my car did exactly the same thing... i climbed up under the passenger side dash and unplugged it.. The part has been discontinued.. i've been looking for sometime now to replace this, but have not had much luck..

Quiksilver458-and others. If you do a search here-yes you'll find that part has been discontinued-but someone posted GM used the same part on several of there other models and you can find them. Door pins are the place to start.
