When my vette is cold, it starts up no problem. In fact, it usually gives me no difficulty in starting. However, if I have been driving to where the engine temp gets really hot and then I stop and park the car, it usually will not start so quickly when I get back in. Then, when I drive it after and come to a stop light, it will idol so low that the engine dies. I have tried to explain the problem as best as possible. Any ideas? Thanks.
Not really. If you buy a fuel pressure gauge at some place like autozone that fits the TPI fuel rail you can diagnose it yourself. They should be less than $30 and have about a 3' hose that connects to the fuel rail schreader valve.
if the first is the case, I agree with scorp about the injectors...
if the second is the case, check your charging system, and starter...
It cranks, but is slow to fire. It will then idle very rough and die if I don't keep gas pressed. A lot of times, if I can then open up and run it hard for a little, it returns to normal and doesn't die at idle.
Ok here is something to try next time until you get a FP gauge. Hold the throttle to the floor 100% and then try starting the car. This will put the car into a flood clearing mode and turn the injectors off from injecting any fuel into the cylinders while cranking. If you find the car starts easier this way then it is another point for leaky injectors.

Cool, thanks for the tip. I will give that a try the next time it starts to happen.
