Do most of the tunners start out tunning by logging a couple runs in the car with Datamaster? Should I log a quarter mile WOT run and a 65 MPH highway run then go to my Tunercat program and start tunning or should I do it differently? Thanks, Ray
I generally do couple WOT runs to about 75 -80 ..."whatever your comfy with and will keep you out of jail!"
i review generally rpm, injectors, MAF, and or MAP, mph, intake temp, coolant temp, ingition timing, the front O2's, spark knock retard and knock count.
I do a WOT run look at the o2's to see how the fuel mixture is and look at timing t see ig any is being pulled from spark knock.. and that's prety much to start...
For part throttle tuning I'll run a datalog varying from idle to 3000 rpms for about 20 minutes. Then I'll do my WOT and spark advance tuning on the Dyno using a wide band o2 sensor. Also during the part throttle run I'll do a few WOT take offs just to check for spark retard.
Hey guys! I tried connecting to my car earlier with pcm communicator and it says that it is connected, not loging and I get SYS flashing on my dash. Any idea? I have used the program before and it worked fine
