Still trying to chase my "slipping" and slow 1-2 and 2-3 shift for my '94. I'm not discounting the possibility of a rebuild, but I have one more card to play. A recent thread brought up the converter lockup switch as a possible cause for shifting problems in the lower gears.
Is converter lockup solenoid the same as a shift solenoid? My reading on the net brought up the subject of the 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoids...If they are the same, how many 1-2 and 2-3 solenoids are in our transmission? If they are different, then only one converter lockup solenoid?? I'm getting confused, but it could be because of the different transmissions in C4's over the last 20 years, and terms are used interchangeably...
