hey guys i have a 95 lti 6spd vert........thinking of buying the stinger eliminator pipes, just wondering how they sound and if they are too loud for street use
hey guys i have a 95 vert 6spd, just wanna know how they sound and if they are too loud for street use?
I have a 96 auto and just put chambered eliminator pipes on it. At first I left the resonator on and it wasn't real loud. I then took off the resonator and it now gets pretty loud and agressive sounding when i get on it, but is not real very loud on the high way.
I would go with chambered eliminator pipes instead of stright elims as I think you get more character in the sound with chambered elims.
Try leaving the resonators on first and if it's not loud enough you can always take the resonator off.

I used to live in CT years ago and around Norwalk, they were not happy with loud exhausts. I don't know how it is now, but elims are loud and with headers, they pop a lot. I have a 92 vert and I ran elims for almost a year and had a ball with them. On long trips, you'll have to wear ear plugs or the head will start pounding. I think the elims lost some of my low end torque because now that I have a B&B catback, it feels like the low end is back. Oh, I can enjoy my radio now.

My chambered elims pop some when I'm decelerating? I don't have headers, just the cat's as i took the resonator off? Is there a way to stop the poping?
I thought about putting a short 18" chambered pipe where the resonators used to be and still leave the chambered elims on also.
What do you think would happen to my sound if I added the 18" chambered piece also with the chambered elims? Louder, less loud, deeper tone, less poping?
