l am planing to set a twin turbo system on my car , over the next twelve month or so, l have been look at turbo's for sale on ebay and never realized that there is so many different types.
So l was wondering what different people have used on there cars?
What size is recomended?
The engine will be a after market set up more than likely a 383 with all the good gear of course it will be a twin turbo set up , would these be suitable HKS GT2530 Twin Turbos, GREDDY APEXI NISMO GARRETT on ebay for $2600 brand new.
the Garrett GT series are very good turbos. the ball bearings enable quicker spool up and reduced lag. also the design is much better than the older T series turbos and enables larger turbo to operate effectivly at lower boost levels. the GT28s may be a little small on the exhaust side for a 383 (as they can be on a 2.0ltr EVO engine) butare good for about 450bhp each. i would go for the larger GT30R as the larger hot side shouldnt be as much of a restriction. one of these things can turn out well over 500bhp and run very well at lower boost (around 1 bar). but with either i think you will be having some fun.
I too am planning a twin turbo winter project. I have acquired two T3s, 60 A/R 60 trim compressor and 82 A/R stage one turbine. I started out with a 63 A/R turbine before I realized there was a bigger size available.
