Default 58mm Throttle Body

I have a 92 LT1 6 speed. I'm trying to find a 58mm TB that will fit. I've heard of there being issues with ASR on some TB's. It seems that every company that makes throttle bodies has a different listing for what models fit where. So, does anyone know what is available? I know Holley, BBK/Edelbrock,TPIS all make them.. What fits? Are L98 and LT1 TB's the same? Is there any way to pull the cable assembly off the side of the stock TB so I don't need to worry about ASR cable mounting?

Thanks!

58MM throttle body is pretty big. Unless you have major mods done and making over 400hp, I wouldn't recommend it. A stock TB supplemented with a air foil should handle up to 400hp. If anything, I would go with a 52MM. What are your current mods?

Blower with 10+ lbs.

52 vs 58 mm argument aside, the part numbers are still all over the place.

I would personally call TPIS (952) 448-6021. Their parts seem to work very well and they are very knowledgeable, but they are also somewhat pricey. They run $500.

I have a Holley 58mm (haven't installed it yet, though). Currently have a 52mm BBK and have never had problems with ASR. You will need to adjust the TPS sensor as well as setting idle, but that's not too hard, especially with a scan tool.

There are various different connections for vacuum lines and Auto-trans kickdowns depending on what year you have. All of the ones I've seen have different part numbers for L98 and LT1/4.

You'll also need to bore out your intake if you go with a 58mm TB. The stock intake inlet bores are 52mm (same for L98, LT1, LT4).
