Default Rev limiter: Fuel or Ignition...

OK, I've got a Crane Hi-6 with rev limiter and the fuel limiter in the ECM. What is the prefered method? Fuel will lean the car out (Bad since I've got a blower....) but I'm concerned about the ignition limiter doing odd things... It's supposed to be a "soft" limiter.

Any thoughts?

Aftermarket ignition boxes drop spark, which is by far the preferred method. It is perfectly safe UNLESS you still have cats on the car. You dump some amount of raw fuel into the cats which can ruin them if you hold it on the limiter for an extended period of time. If you don't have cats on the car you can nail the rev limiter all day long and never hurt a thing.

The stocker on the other hand will blow your motor in a heartbeat with forced induction or nitrous.

Use the ignition limiter! Especially if it is a "soft" limiter as it says. What this is the ignition will drop every other cylinder instead of the whole engine. This is puts much less stress on the engine and you don't run the risk of the fuel limiter leaning you out too much.
