msd digital 6??
is anyone useing the digital 6 i was told that they don't work well with these cars. my friend had one in his 91 for a month when sparks shot out and the car died. it's a sealed box. so did water get in there some how from washing his car it's not driven in the rain?? i want to buy one but not sure it's safe.

I've been running one for years without any problems. Every component has it's failure rate. Some people will tell you that MSD is crap, others will tell you they are great. Personally I think they are a great company to deal with.
The question I just have to ask though is why do you want one? If you're wanting more horsepower and gas mileage forget about it. If you're wanting the nice rev limiter, nitrous timing retard, etc, then it's money well spent.

well i don't want to sound like a baby but when this happened to my friends car i took mine out and sold it. it worked fine but i didn't want to take a chance. when i did have it installed my idle was smooth as glass and it ran better.

Well mine sits right under the passenger side headlight where it gets soaked every time it rains. I've been forced to drive through water so deep that I promise you it was sitting underwater, it still works like a charm.
