Stupid courtesy light timer!

Courtesy lights do not go on when the doors are opened.
Checked past forums seems like the timer is bad, Unless somebody thinks differently ....
Door jamb switches working - (security light on inform panel goes on)
Light bulbs good (go on with the headlight switch)
is it:
a) Aftermarket keyless entry wiring gone horribly awry
-or-
b) Much maligned courtesy light timer took a dump
-or-
c) None of the above
feel free to answer d) with a write in answer!
