Not sure if you knew this already, that diameter spring requires machining the spring pockets on stock GM SBC heads.

So do we have any recommendations for a spring for the Hot Cam and 1.7 rr, with the LT-4 heads? I'm just curious because I have been looking at swapping out the 1.6's on my LT-4. What would that all intail, studs, rods, springs and rockers right?

I think you could use my spring for that, it is a comp cam 941 spring, installed at 120lb (1.78"), w/ coil bind height at 1.23" I believe. The open pressure is high though, around 360 lb or so at your peak lift.

Unfortunately, I have a cam w/ a little more lift than the hot cam, and the 1.7's would put me at .600" lift, and I would just have the .050 clearance before coil bind. Too borderline for me, I have to replace.

Ok so if my numbers are right this is what I will have.
Stock LT1 cam = .447/.459 @.5 and going up to 1.7 rr I will have .506/.520

And from what I have found is that the norm seat height of the springs will be 1.700 and that would give me a max open height of 1.18.
So now I need to find some springs that are 100-120lbs at 1.700 and
around 300lbs at 1.18 compressed. Am I right so far?

Oh and two more things, what dia. spring can I go with and NOT have to cut the heads? Also should I go with a double spring setup or stick with the single spring?
