I just installed an Aeromotive AFPR today. It runs fine but i noticed i have no fuel pressure the second i shot the car off. It holds no pressure with the motor off. Is this AFPR built to do this? It held pressure with the stock FPR.
I got one of those little things on mine. Expensive little bugger at around $200 but it works great. My LT4 had 40 lbs pressure at idle with vacuum line plugged. I upped the pressure with the aeromotive to 43 pounds. No problems.
I suspect that something is not adjusted and/or plumbed correctly.
I've got the one from Mid-America (I think Eckler's is similar, if not the same), and I noticed that if I threaded the vacuum nipple all the way into the AFPR body, it would hit the diaphram spring. If that's the case, it could be holding the diapram open.
Just a thought, good luck figuring out your problem!
