Installing Hooker LT I broke the oil sensor near the Oil filter
I have a 90 and for what I understand the 90 and 91 are different from 89 and earlier.
Someone know where I can buy this sensor?
It's a 3 blade sensor.
In addition:
I don't remember any constant, table or flag in the chip that refers to oil temp, so I'm pretty sure I can run without them... BTW If someone know some reason I have NOT to run without this sensor..
Thanks

My Corvette parts book was printed in April of 1989, and shows some 1990 parts, but the oil temp sender listing ends with the 1989, in my book. If it is different 1990 and up, I can't help. However, as long as it isn't leaking, there is no reason for not driving it.
Good luck, other then a dealer. I got lucky and the 5th parts store I went to had it. The first four told me that ther ewas no such thing, I would just and say damm what about my gauge then
The display will just show "Low" if the sensor is broken or disconnected. I would go to the dealer for a replacement switch. If it's an AC Delco part, you might try to find it at a AC Delco store or maybe even NAPA.
Whether on not you need the display is another thing. I usually run my 87 at track events with the oil temp display on.
