I Bought 88 With 13000 Miles On It. Car Is Basicly New. When Cut Off And An Attemt Is Made To Restart , At Times It Will Appear To Be Dead. All Other Functions Work, Just A Silent Starter. Altenator Is Ok In Fact Battery Shows Full Charge. Just A Touch Of The Jumper Cables And Away We Go. Have Installed New Battery And Condition Still Exsists. Ideas?

Sounds like what Spankyello said Vats but make sure those battery ends are clean I have had them look ok on the outside but unscrew the terminals out of the cables
and found corrosion.
