Tech Tip for valve spring upgrading?
I can't believe we don't have a Tech Tip describing how to swap valve springs! Something I always wanted to know was measuring and adjusting heights and looking for binding problems. And what about the studs? When to change to stronger sizes? I know we have a lot of guys that have just recently done this, so how about sharing the knowledge. Please.

There probably isn't a huge tech tip on this because most people who really go through the trouble when setting up valve springs do it on the bench. Usually when you're doing it on the car you don't take the time to check the install height of each spring, etc. And really you don't need to to a large extend because all the spring pockets should be fairly close.
Once you cut the heads for bigger springs there is likely going to be more variance that requires closer attention.
