?87 Vette cold start valve/fuel pump
2 quick questions
1)Lately the vette starts right up revs around 10-11 like it always did but now after 2-3 secs it shuts right down. I restart and its fine. Runs great no codes.
It would always rev a little high then go back down to normal RPM's
Could it be the cold start valve? Low fuel pump pressure?
2)I'm thinking of putting in a new fuel pump(I believe its original) anyhow.
What should the price be for OEM fuel pump, any gaskets etc that should be replaced with it. I'm getting FP prices from $60 all the way to $250.

Do some testing before you waste $70 on a new pump. Do you own a fuel pressure gauge? If not it'll cost ~$20 at autozone. You can get new AC Delco pumps for about $70 at autozone as well. Installation is easy.
