Big problem, Ideas please.....help!
I just did an intake swap on my l98. went to fire it up and nothing! Battery has power, but when you turn the key the whole car goes dead. turn the key off and the interior/underhoodlights return. Obviously have ended up with a short. However, all I removed was the Sensors on the intake, the injector harnesses, A/C, alt, smog, and distributor. Ive checked all my connections and they are good. Im running out of ideas. After it shorts there are a series of ticks and noises, they sound like relays or selonids, at least one under the hood and at least one behind the passenger dash.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Well, you were right. 
The fella next door has a tester/charger. This will teach me to get in a hurry! Now it cranks, but i think the distributor is 180 out...it just pops and backfires when you crank it.
