Need catalytic converter help
I've got a friend who owns a 94 6-speed Vette and apparently the cats have been gutted and some point and his car will not pass Atlanta emissions standards. I need to install cats on the car so it will pass and I'm not even sure how many are on a 94-95 car or what diameter the pipe is? I called Magnaflow and they seem to think a carsound #94106 would work, is there 1 cat on each side of the Y-pipe or what?

Yes, two cats. The right and Left sides are different.

The cats are different left to right.
check with Random tech, also.
You see, no one makes a direct fit cat for the LT1. They all require cutting the tubes and welding in new.
Check ebay, factory cats pop up there all the time.
Check salvage yards, too.
Don't go to the dealer - they will RAPE you.
Don't use Walker, they will rust, then they will rape you.

I called Magnaflow and I have 2 Carsound High Flow cats coming, I do custom exhaust work so I don't mind welding/cutting.
