I WILL AT THIS TIME APOLOGIZE TO THE FORUM FOR THE STATEMENTS OR COMMENTS THAT HAVE ORIGINATED BY MY HAND, ALTHOUGH JUSTLY DESERVED BY THE ENTITIES THAT THEY ARE DIRECTED AT.

Does this mean I lose S.O.B.'s? I haven't lost any S.O.B.'s in some time now. In fact, I watch them very closely so they don't wander off.

Listen little boy....CFI-EFI is offering you advice on your car that you would ordinarily be charged $50 + per hour for at any repair shop. He is doing so for free....in his spare time. He merely suggested that you use lower case letters. And your response was to go on a tirade.

Perhaps he isn't the one who needs to look under "counselors, family" in the yellow pages.

LISTEN "PIN-HEAD",1ST, I THINK YOU OUGHT TO KEEP YOUR "PREFERENCES" TO YOURSELF....PHEW! LOOK, I SEE NOWHERE ON THIS FORUM THAT INDIVIDUALS CHARGE A FEE FOR THEIR HELP AND IF THERE IS A PLACE , PLEASE PROFFER IT. DO NOT TRY TO CLOUD THE ISSUES BY TYPING IN IRRELEVANT BS JUST TO SEE YOUR NAME IN PRINT.

HELP ON THIS FORUM (AS I UNDERSTAND IT) IS FREELY OFFERED, FREELY TAKEN OR FREELY REJECTED. I WAS NOT KNOCKING ANYONE OR ANYTHING AT THE START OF ALL THIS. I MERELY STOOD UP FOR MYSELF AND ANSWERED A QUESTION OR STATEMENT THAT WAS DIRECTED AT ME IN A COURTEOUS MANNER AND IT WAS SOMEONE OTHER THEN ME WHO STARTED THIS.
AS YOU SAY, HE "...He merely suggested that you use lower case letters..." ,AND I MERELY RESPONDED THAT A) I WAS NOT YELLING DESPITE THE CAPS AND HAVE MADE MYSELF PERFECTLY CLEAR, B) DEFENDED MYSELF AGAINST ANY VERBAL SLANDER OR ABUSIVE STATEMENT DIRECTED AT OR ABOUT ME.
OH, AND BY THE WAY,YOU EITHER DON'T KNOW WHAT AN "SOB" IS OR ARE ADMITTING TO SAME. I PERSONALLY WOULD'VE LIKED TO SEE THIS THING STOP HERE LAST NIGHT BUT, WITH PEOPLE "ATTEMPTING TO THROW GASOLINE TO PUT OUT A FIRE" IT SEEMS UNLIKELY.

Enough of the name calling and the BS...
The caps got to go... It's mutual respect..
The forum thrives on it..
CFI is extremely knowledgable and you
will definitely want him to advise you
when there is a problem. Like they say.. When in Rome...

So come on, lets cut the crap and get along...
Vette owners are better than this...

I AGREE WITH ONLY THE PART THAT SAYS THIS HAS TO STOP BUT, AS LONG AS ENTITIES FIRE BACK, I WIL RESPOND IN KIND. I AM MORE THEN WILLING TO LETALL THIS DROP HOWEVER, YOU WIOULD NEED TO SPEAK TO THE OTHERS TO, NOT JUST ME.

IT IS NICE TO GET HELP FROM PEOPLE BUT, YA REALLY THINK THAT AFTER ALL THIS I WOULD ACCEPT HIS "HELP"? 1ST, IF HE DID GIVE IT, I WOULD NOT TAKE IT AS IT WOULD BE "SUSPECT" AND I THINK YA CAN UNDERSTAND THAT. FOR THE RECORD, I AM NOT SAYING THAT HIS "HELP" IS FLAWED, JUST THAT HIS "HELP" MAY BE FLAWED WHERE I AM CONCERNED. I WANT NO MISUNDERSTANDING WITH THE STATEMENT I HAVE JUST MADE. HOPEFULLY, THIS THREAD WILL DIE OUT. THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR INPUT.

Whew! personally I don't care if you use upper or lower case, I'm not forced to read a novel here-just a question regarding their love. I like so many have all the manuals and still have difficulty with some of the diagnostics-however, I do appreciate all responses, except the admonishing type-and the off subject attacks. Seems like Nathan posted something about these type of responses a short time ago. My perspective is-address the problem the best you can-forget about a persons format or typing skills.

Back to your initial question-and I hope I didn't get side tracked. When was the last time you did a thorough tune up? Might be all that's needed. Or checking your timing.

My 87 starts almost immediately-that's the way I like it. I think prolonged cranking takes its toll on engine components.

I AGREE WITH YOU SIR. THIS STUFF NEEDS TO CEASE. HOWEVER, AS LONG AS THERE ARE THOSE "TAKING SHOTS", IT CAN'T. I ALSO DO NOT KNOW A "NATHAN". AT ANY RATE, A TUNE UP WAS DONE W/IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS AND TIMING IS DEAD ON. THE ONLY THING THAT I DID NOT DO WAS THE FUEL FILTER AS IT APPERAS "NEW" AND WAS CHANGED BY PREVIOUS OWNER PRE JULY OF THIS YEAR. GEEZ, I WISH MY CAR WOULD START AFTER A SECOND HOLDING OF THE KEY!

I WOULD IMAGINE THAT THE COMPUTER WOULD THROW A CODE OR SOMETHING. I HEARD IT ONCE OR TWICE MENTIONED THAT AUTOZONE WOULD "PULL THE CODES" (MORE DETAIL THEN THE LIGHTS) FOR A PERSON SO, MAY CHECK INTO THAT.

Now there IS the definition of "GOING POSTAL". So much ammunition, so little time.

Although *I* did mention the caps in both my posts that offered friendly, helpful, advice, it was the declaration of, courtesy be damned, I'm going to do it MY way, because "it is easier" and the hell with anyone else, attitude, that set ME off. I have spent too much time pointing out the obvious, that all but the subject they were direct to, can readily see. I have refrained from "name calling", and tried to remain civil in the face of the attacks. Since neither tact nor good advice is useful, here, I shall not take his tirades, point by point as I did in my last post. But it is temping. He is so much fun, and so easy. It is annoying and unnecessary for most, and over the head of the intended recipient, even if I DO find it amusing. My apologies to all that suffered through this, save one.

RACE ON!!!

I DON'T NEED AMMUNITION, JUST THE TRUTH. HERE WE GO AGAIN, TIT FOR TAT! YOU STILL CAN'T LET THIS DROP NOW, CAN YOU!? IF YA DON'T LIKE CAPS, THEN, CLOSE YOUR EYES AND GO TO A DEEP SLEEP OR PASS OVER WHAT IT IS YA DON'T LIKE TO READ. WHAT IS SO G-DAMN HARD ABOUT THAT? I ALSO RESPONDED TO WHAT YOU FIRST STARTED OUT WRITING IN A CORDIAL WAY BUT, YOU BLEW IT WAY OUT OF PROPORTION, NOT BE.

WHOM ATTACKED WHOM?...MAN, ARE YOU CONFUSED! I NEVER ATTACKED ANYONE BUT, MERELY DEFENDED MY POSITION VERBALLY AND IN KIND TO WHAT IT WAS I RECEIVED. YOU BETTER GO BACK AND REVIEW WHAT YOUR WROTE AS THERE WILL BE A TEST ON MONDAY..PHEW!

IT IS EASY FOR YOU TO BE WHIMSICAL IN THE FACE OF DEFEAT BECAUSE YA HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO "SHOVEL". I TOO GRIN AT YOUR CHILDISH AND NON-SENSICAL REMARKS AND SIMPLY CHALK THEM UP TO THE SOURCE FROM WHICH THEY CAME...YOU! YOU ARE TRYING TO ROLLER-SKATE UP A HILL OF ICE HERE, LET'S FACE IT, YOU ARE NEVER GONNA MAKE IT!

I HAVE ALREADY APOLOGIZED FOR ME HAVING TO DEFEND MY POSTURE HERE TO THE FORUM AND NOW, I APOLOGIZE TO THE FORUM FOR YOUR SNIDE AND UNJUSTIFIED REMARKS.

TO ALSO NOTE; JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT ME TO ALTER MY STYLE OF TYPING DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN I HAVE TO DO IT. FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO VENT YOUR FRUSTRATIONS AND QUIT SUBJECTING THESE FORUM PEOPLE TO THIS "NON-FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT" AS I AM SURE THIS FORUM DID NOT START OUT TO BE THIS WAY.

I AM AND HAVE BEEN WILLING TO DROP THIS BUT, IF YA WANT TO GO SOME MORE ROUNDS, LET ME KNOW AS I NEVER TIRE. IF YA WANT TO DROP THIS, LET IT DIE HERE AND NOW. IT IS YOUR CHOICE AS I AM SURE THE FORUM HAS HAD ENOUGH.

I have had it happen on a Chevy van and a Vette and give no codes maybe you could borrow a computer just to check.

THANKS FOR REPLY MR. KIDD.,
I GUESS I WILL CALL A FRIEND OF MINE WHOM IS A MGR AT AN AUTOZONE OR ANOTHER WHICH IS A MGR AT ADVANCED DISCOUNT AUTO AND SEE IF THEY CAN DO IT IN THE NEAR FUTURE. I LOOKED AROUND FOR A SMALL HANDHELD UNIT THAT WOULD GIVE ME A DIRECT "READ OUT" BUT, THEY WERE OUT OF MY BALLPARK SO MUCH THAT I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER THE BRAND!

Absolutely amazing! You just don't get it, do you? I posted:

I let this die last night. After that, you posted an additional 7 or 8 venomous responses, before I dismissed you, again this morning. It would seem you have a serious problem...and then, there is your car. Take a deep breath. Chill. To what ever level you are able, THINK!

RACE ON (into oblivion)!!!

HAHHA....NO, YOU DON'T GET IT. THE STATEMENT YOU MADE CAN BE TAKEN MORE THEN ONE WAY. BEING THAT YOU ARE ACTING LIKE A , WELL, I SAID IT IN A PREVIOUS POST, I TOOK IT IN WHAT APPEARED TO BE THE WAY "YOU WOULD HAVE WANTED ME TO TAKE IT".
AS THEY SAY IN BASEBALL, "I CALL 'EM AS I SEE 'EM".

I GAIN PLENTY FROM BOOKS. IT IS YOU THAT HAS PROBLEMS WHEN THE PICTURES AND CARTOONS RUN OUT OF YOURS. AS I SAID BEFORE, I RESPOND IN KIND TO WHAT IS DIRECTED MY WAY, SUCH AS IN THIS RESPONSE. YOU DID NOT LET THIS DIE. YOU SUCKED, 'EH, BREATHED LIFE BACK INTO IT!

YOU DISMISSED WHOM?..HA, THAT'S A JOKE! THE ONLY THING YOU DISMISS IS THE FORUM'S THOUGHT THAT YOU THE ABILITY TO EXHIBIT ANY REAL INTELLECTUAL THOUGHT PROCESSES AS WELL AS A PERSONALITY.

I HAVE NO SERIOUS PROBLEMS HERE, ONLY THAT I AM BUSTING A GUT FROM LAUGHING AT YOUR OUTRAGEOUS STATEMENTS IN RESPONSE TO MINE THAT YOU LIKE TO THROW A SPIN ON TO GET ATTENTION.

YOU TAKE A DEEP BREATH, GET IN CAR, PLACE IN DRIVE, AIM FOR BRIDGE WALL, MASH GAS.
