Just a quick question guys - I know it's been answered before but I can't find it.
Does a stock 86 have MAP of MAF?
Thanks for the posts indicating that I have MAF - so how will that work if I put in a ZZ4 and use the original intake?
Thanks

I'm not sure, but I don't think your '86 TPI manifold is going to bolt up with the 113's on that ZZ4 as I think there was a bolt pattern change. The cam is different too. Might be better to get the short block or work with a builder that will give you a credit for the parts you're not going to need.
I already have asked about compatability of the early 86 (Iron heads) TPI with the ZZ4 - the consensus seems to be that it will bolt up.
I already have the ZZ4 and I will mate it with the Keisler engineering 5 speed (won't be in until late feb) then drop em in as a unit. I'm looking for straight forward installations - bolt on drop in.
Thanks for the help and any opinions all of you might offer
I think the issue was with two center intake bolt angles on the F-body cars from early '80s to late '80s TPI; the solution was simply to machine the correct bolt angles into the intake base.
In either case you should be fine, as even that little bit of machining (if needed) is not a big deal.
