Default L98 Intake re-torque

When re-torquing an L98 intake, should I back the tension off all the bolts before re-torquing them, or should I back the tension of each bolt individually in accordance with the factory prescribed tightening sequence, immediately re-torquing that bolt and then move on to the next bolt in the sequence, loosen and re-torque?

I R&R’d my intake a few weeks ago in an effort to kill the proverbial oil leak that everybody gets an opportunity to fix sooner or later.

Thanks for the help.

I torqued the intake base bolts to spec in the steps and sequence specified, let it stand at least 24hrs and then just put the wrench onto each bolt and turned it till the torque wrench gave a "click".

I did not loosen the bolts to retorque them.

Yeah.. Ok. I think it was you who gave me the idea to retorque after installation. Your instruction makes sense as I wouldn’t want to disturb the sealant that I put in each bolt when I did the original assembly.

She has been sitting quietly for about a month since is originally set the intake waiting for me to finish the LT4 spring and CC 1.6 roller rocker install so it think I will double check the torque on the manifold bolts before I put the runners and plenum back on.

Thanks for the advice.
