Limited Slip Differentials
I love the way my Vette's rear diff works and would like my 05 MB E55 to work similarly.
It employees a computerized traction control to limit wheel spin but I think that it would deliver more torque and quicker times if it had a true LSD. Several aftermarketers make LSD for the E55 all differing in lockup percentage.
\Thanks

however, if you want more limited slip action in your MB, tighter is better. it's difficult to make a torsen too tight for street use.
it seems an extreme and costly change considering it's not a racecar. on the other hand, some electronic brake application as an intervention does work extremely well with torsen diffs. the weak point of the torsen is if one of the two tires is unloaded enough, it basicallys act like an open differential. it needs some load on both, and the brake application would do this. (for instance, the T2R for mustangs has clutch plates in the torsen diff so keep the 2 sides loaded together for when the inside rear becomes unweighted in race use.)
