Yeah but that's like hanging c4 stuff on a c3. You're bastardizing a perfectly good looking car, and making it look like you can't afford a new one, but really want to have one anyway. If you really like the look of the c5 (which looks good, don't get me wrong), I think a c5 is really the way to go.

I did the C5 conversion to my 84 and thought it looked great. I got a lot more complements on my 84 then i have ever recieved on my 94. While I wont do the conversion to my 94 because I like the look of the later C4 to much to spend the money again I loved my 84. I also did a LT1 conversion as well.

Here is a shot of the 84

Here is my new baby

well there's one C4 that won't be going up in value shortly

i can see the TV commercial now "For a mere $0.17 a day, you too can prevent another gorgeous C4 from being bastardized beyond recognition"

and as far as getting compliments on a conversion, thats cuz they were either uneducated rustang drivers who wouldn't be able to tell a '63 SWC from a C6 Z51, OR it was a tongue in cheek compliment, like something said to a person who does the testa-vette / corv-arossa body kit.

sorry, i'm done now

I would stick with C4 body panels on my C4. If you want the C5 look then buy a C5.

It's your car, do what you want with it. I don't like people telling me what to do unless I ask for it. Looks like you asked for it. Personally I think subtle changes are better, but I enjoy seeing what other people do to their cars regardless of what it is. If you can take the heat from other corvette owners, satisfy yourself first. Have fun with it.

Actually he didn't ask anybody's opinion. He asked where to buy it.

First off the 84 is not going up in value any time soon and the retail on my car was a hell of a lot more after I finished then when I started. If you don’t like the kit then fine don’t get one but to try and flame me is out of line and uncalled for especially since my 84 could have tore the doors off what your driving. Is my 94 “Bastardized ” as well because I stuck a 383 in it making 400+ HP?
sorry for the delay in response, i was in the garage working on my fiero/ferrari transformation. and YES, i am laughing AT you. its interesting, i wasn't talking about YOUR vette what what YOU did to it. and i do happen to agree with most of guys here that the C5/C4 thing is ugly....."queer" even according to another poster. and i don't really care what behemouth engine you put in either of your cars. my 85 stock for stock against your 84 would put you to shame. and i am willing to bet that if i spent the same amount on mods on my 85 that you spent on your 84 you would also be equally embarassed.

get over it. it's an ugly exterior mod that makes you look like a wanna-be C5-er.

haha have you ever noticed that on here you get more than the 2 cents you ask for?

you get like 3 dollars and change!

you ask for a link and then recieve criticism. Different people like different things. Not saying I want a c5 body kit because I leave the outside of my car unmolested. I spend my $ on speed.
good luck with the conversion!

Judging from the posts on this thread, and the way this subject has been discussed in the past, I would say he asked for it.

hey man both your cars look sharp

Keeping cars stock is nice I'm all for it but don't knock people for liking something different!

As far as C4 values go lets not even start that discussion because my 92 is worth less than half of what I have in it! Unless you have a ZR1, a Grand Sport, or an LT4 your C4 is depreciating just as quickly as mine at about $2k a year.
