Hood release problem

Hood release problem
Lately, when I open the hood, it doesn't pop up. It used to pop up an inch or so when I pulled the release, now it doesn't. I have to pull the release and pull up on the hood at the same time to get it open. Is there an adjustment on the springs on the release pins?

Each cable has an adjuster at the ends where the catches are that will bring the catch in or out. You may just bring the catches in a tad so the hood will pop up when released.

Lube the pins that go through the latch, and the latch, with lithium grease. I suspect that the lack of lube on the latches is the cause of most stuck hoods and broken cables. You'll be amazed at the difference after lubing them. I was!

I meant to include that in my other post. Lube it first and if that doesn't work try the adjustment.
