Emmissions testing
Hi guys,
This is not for a Vette but one of my friends Van's, "his winter beater" and he failled his emissions.
These are the results:
HCPPM - Idle and driving
Wile driving 62 - 145
Idle max is 200 - 1741
I'm wondering if this problem is because of a bad Cat or if its to much fuel.... or something else?
He did the basics on the car before bringing it in for the test, oil change, new ail filter and even ran some gas emission cleaning stuff in his gas tank for a few weeks.

HCs are hydro carbons. Usually unburned or raw fuel. High CO numbers indicate a rich mixture. If the CO is in line, suspect a missing condition. There are lots of possible causes, but plugs and plug wires head up the list.
