I would hope you have voltage (light) on some of the fuses, after all some things are still powered even with the ignition off. I think you're going down the wrong road there.

What I would do is make sure I had a well charged battery installed. Measure it's voltage not hooked up to the car, remember that number you get. Hook up the battery with the car off and measure it again. If there is a signifigant drop keep the meter on the posts monitoring the voltage as you pull fuses looking for a big jump in voltage or close to your read on the battery unhooked.

If you don't think it could be through a fuse you'll have to try looking other places that might have hidden fuses (links) running elsewhere in the car. You may need a manual for this one.

There's a lot of different ways to find a current draw but that might be the easiest for you.

As per a post of mine recently (Somewhere); check also interior lights AND check that the light in your centre console 'glove compartment' is GOING OFF - They use a mercury switch and I have recently had a battery drain overnight due to a faulty mercury switch in my '85, causing the hood lights to be ON when hood was closed (Although that doesn't sound like your particular situation). One last thing - check ALSO (I'm not sure if '84's have them) that your spare tyre light (Above spare tyre) is not staying on...Again though; I think they'd stay on all the time rather than only in accessory mode.
