This is odd though but i had changed the battery last year and the rest of the time its been sitting in the garage. Im in illinois and so it it cold. my prob was last night i tryed to start it it kicked but died so i took a battery charger let it sit for about 1 hour i believe on accident is that bad? and so when i removed the battery charger and started it kicked in and sounded like a pop or a crack from the engine i was like nooooo and so i let it sit because i usually warm it up every week so i warmed it up for about 20 mins and i started reving it sounds good but a little lag when you first tap it but when i let it sit for like 2 mins and so i hit the gas hard up to 5 and it popped i was like This was all happening when i was warming it up. SO OMG WHATS HAPPENING
You aren't making much sense. What do you mean by, "I took a battery charger let it sit about 1 hour.....is that bad?". You can charge a battery for an hour to get enough charge to start a car, but for a full charge it takes at least 24 hours of charging, neither of which is bad. What do you mean by "hit the gas hard up to 5". Do you mean you goosed a cold engine to 5000 rpm ? and then you are surprised it backfired? Normally even cold engines shouldn't backfire. I would first check the initial timing. Too far advanced timing can cause backfiring.
