Default FX3 Troubleshooting

I thought that after owning the car for 4 years I might look into figuring out exactly what it was going to take to fix my FX3 suspension. I know that I need at least one actuator, but rather than take the rear apart I thought I'd see what the computer could tell me about it.

I pulled out ye olde factory service manual and took a look. It said to ground ground pin C on the ALDL connector and turn the key on. It should flash the trouble codes on the Service Ride Control light. Too bad that bulb burned out about 2 years ago. No problem! I just took the dash apart and swapped that bulb for one of the others. I turned the key on and voila SERVICE RIDE CONTROL

Alrighty so I proceeded to jump pins A & C. I get squat, it doesn't even flash code 12 like it is supposed to. Now I have to persue the whole section on CODES CANNOT BE READ which is a PITA because it requires getting into all the ABS crap behind the driver's seat. This will do doubt tell me that the control module itself is faulty which is going to make it even more expensive to replace. Something else for me to look into over Christmas break.

I guess it's been broken for 4 years, what's a few more huh?

Before replacing the CCM double check all the wiring. The first and last time I had my Vette at a repair shop was for a cruze control problem, they replaced the CCM @ 170$. Well that still didnt fix it, finaly they replaced the elec/vac switch on the brake. The guy said he had over 600$ in the repair, but he still charged me 350$ for replacing a 10$ switch and the CCM.
After that my moto is replace the cheapest parts first!! Good Luck..
