Every time you start your Vette, the FX-3 does a self test. The "service ride control" light in the DIC will light up for about three seconds at start up. If everything is good with the system the light will go off. Anything wrong the light will stay on. If the light does not come on at all, the system has either been disabled by a previous owner, or the bulb is simply burned out.

You should also hear the actuators cylcle through.
