Transmission Adjustment Cable
Before my transmission died, I had a higher stall converter. But when the trans died, it took my 3 month old converter with it. Now with the new trans, and new, stock converter, it takes longer to shift than it should. I know the cable is on the intake (I have an 84), but what does it look like, and which direction do I click it to make it shift sooner?

I'd take the car back to the trans shop. Don't touch it, if you don't know EXACTLY what you are doing. The TV cable is NOT for shift speed or feel. Messing with that adjustment is likely to cause trans failure. If it does fail, and the trans shop detects that the cable has been messed with, any warranty you might have, will be out the window...along with your wallet. Let THEM take the risk.
