Default STS turbo size

I am thinking of building my own rear mounted turbo system. Does anyone know what size turbo the STS system uses?

Thanks,

you still size the turbo upon horsepower requirements. It's the turbine housing that you change. typically use 2- 4 steps tighter on the a/r
depending on how much heat loss occurs.

When the STS first came out on the camaro's I looked into this stuff and what they do is to run a smaller a/r on the turbine side to make up for the heat/velocity loss of the exhaust. I'm not sure how much smaller, but smaller none the less.

The size of the compressor should be just as big as any other turbo. You'll have to read compressor maps to figure that out. It all depends on your displacement, your HP goal, and how much boost you want to run. Some turbos say that they will flow 1000hp, but that might only be at 30#'s of boost. You're gonna want a T-series flow as a minimum, and bigger is better.

Looks like they used a T-76 on this project:

I know about the size determining formulas but STS uses a special size turbo to work better with the rear placement. Thats what I am trying to find out.

They change the turbine side A/R, that's it.
