Default engine/tranny bolts...

is there any trick to getting to the bolts that bolt the tranny to the engine before i go digging at it?

car is an 86 auto

If you can't get to the top bolts with long extensions & swivles you may need to tilt the engine & tranny a bit.

Ditto above.
Pull the dist and tilt engine back so the top bolts are clear to access
.Make sure the bottom bolts are still in so the trans doesn't fall of the engines dowels.
When I have the top bolts out I level the lot up and support the sump before removing trans.

Ditto to the above, plus I use an impact gun to remove the bolts.

Also 9/16 swivel socket with above mentioned 3Ft extension. Been there done that, as they said above.

Buy two 12" extensions and use the otherone you already have...they're a LOT cheaper than a single 3 footer.
