Damn, I thought I'd NEVER find this thread! Especially since I couldn't remember if it was posted in parts, general or tech. Anyhow, is there any news re/ expected ship dates? Really looking forward to removing the Hedmans from my car (and the last remaining eyesore under my hood.) BTW, Eastman's header coating is a waste of money. Even with their recommended preparation techniques, it didn't even hold up as well as crappy old header paint. But I digress...

I know that EM stated 4-5 weeks but just wondering if there's a definite target date now. My "girl" is getting anxious for her last remaining Christmas present! I mean the underhood could be likened to an absolutely beautiful, drop dead gorgeous, knock out of a babe with a great big wart (the hedmans) on the end of her nose.

The air pump fittings need to be drilled before hooking them up. Otherwise you just have a bung on one tube on each side. The O2 bungs can just be plugged. I don't know if this helps.

Hey Perfusion,

Since you've done this already--do I need new header bolts? Is the Felpro gasket better than a GM one? Do I need 1 02 bung for a 1993 with OBDI?

And--anybody done this with the Power effects Cat back? I am wondering if it'd be easier to use Merle's extensions (which he says are for 2.5" pipe, Corsa, but will fit stock dia. (2 3/4")--the PE is stock-like)
or to have my own fabbed, as some cutting of the cat-back is already needed. Experiences?

Thanks

I can't speak for these since I don't have them yet. But with the headers I have now, it would not be a problem. Headers, on the LT1s actually make it easier to work in that area since they are less obtrusive than the stock cats.

I would go with the locking bolts EM recommends made by Stage 8. I don't know if the OEM bolts would work or not, as I didn't have my shop even bother to try. To my knowledge, the FelPro gasket is perfect for this application. I'm sure others have used a different brand, but again, if Merle recommended it, I bought it. I didn't want to leave anything up to chance... As for the O2 sensor & OBDI, I dunno - I'm really not that familiar with the 93s... Sorry!
