Brake Light ON?? Key won't turn off!
HI
The past few times that I have started the RUBY - the brake light came on and I could not turn off the ignition key - after playing with it a bit - shifting and moving the key around I could get it to turn off... then it would start fine without any brake light and would turn off just fine...
Any body have any ideas as to what to check???

If you are having problems just killing the engine, that could be the tumblers in the switch itself. Don't know what year you have, but a pre-vats ignition switch is like $12 at O'Reillys.
Standard or Auto trans?
Both have a cable that runs from the shifter, up the steering column to the ignition switch. The automatic must be in park and the standard must be in reverse for the switch to turn to the lock position and to remove the key.
