Thought I'd share with everyone... I finally took my borlas off and welded in straight pipes today. It sounds much better ! However I thought that it would be a bit louder. I guess a bigger cam, or different headers will change this?

Anything that improves breathing will make it louder. When I added ported heads, intake and headers, my whisper-quiet stock LT4 exhaust system all of the sudden sounded REAL good! Still not extremely loud but noticeably louder with a very ***** to the wall sound, especially at WOT.

Yes I just had to put new hi-flow cats on because it wouldn't pass emissions test. I deleted my resonator a year ago, that helped a little. I thought about taking off the cats, but I was having a hell of a time trying to find someone to pass it for me so I gave in and got new cats.
