95 won't start
Long story. My battery started leaking out of the side terminal. Replaced the postive battery cable. When I turn the key it just clicks. No error codes. Good Battery. It will start on the third or fourth try. Then it will start everytime. I've checked the battery,alternator, both are fine. I think it might be the starter. It's original. Any input would be great.

Start with the battery. BOTH battery cables and battery posts must be clean,bright and tight for a low resistance connection due to the 100+ amps required by the starter motor. Remove the neg cable first and clean both and replace, neg last. Measure the battery terminal voltage and then attempt a crank. The battery terminal voltage must not fall below 9.0 volts or the battery is discharged or at the end of its life. If the battery voltage holds up with only starter clicking, then the starter solenoid (inside the starter motor) is suspect, or the battery ground connection could be loose or the positive cable connection at the starter could be loose. Thanks. I thought it was the solenoid. It has a new battery. Didn't start this problem till later. Found the postive cable had crud on the terminal so I replaced the cable with a new one. It still does the click three or four time till it cranks over. The voltage on the drivers display is 14.7 to 14.3 vdc.
