Default Drive trane strength...

88 - C4 - L98

How strong is the rear end, drive lines, etc... in these cars? Will they handle a 150 hp. shot of NOS without problems? Or, how much will they handle? Thanks in advance...

Depends if it is an auto or manual.

For auto, the D36 is a crap shoot at the drags, and certain to brake eventually if you put on slicks. Ok for the street. The 700R4 may eventually give you trouble too. Frequent fluid changes and a tranny cooler may hasten it's demise.

For manuals the D44 rear end is great, you should not have any problems with it. You might just eventually need to do something with the clutch if you drag.
