I guess I need to pull my valve body back out of the trans, and clean it. What is the best way to do this, WITHOUT getting contaminants in it? I don't want any problems with valves sticking. Then how should I reassemble it without contaminating it with dirt? Thanks!

Are you talking about the throttle body located in front of the intake plenum? Just take it off! There are four 10mm hex bolts, remove the MAF and hose from the front, disconnect the TPS connector, the IAC connector, the cables from the accelerator, vaccum lines and the water lines (if you have not done a bypass). Use a hex wrench to remove the IAC motor and remove the TPS sensor. This is necessary not to get any solvent in these parts. Once you have the bare body, use Gum Out and spray down the part. Use two cans if needed. Blow it our with compressed air and reassemble. Use a new gasket between the body and the plenum. Do not move the IAC pintle and you will have to readjust the TPS. Need any more, shoot me a note!

Sorry, I am talking about the valve body in the transmission. I wish my problem was as easy as cleaning throttle body...
First thing I would do is rent a garage and put the car up on stands and pull out the trans ,it's not that hard but unless you have a trans jack you will need another person to reinstall it.
Put it on a bench and do it right .
If you don't have a compressor to check the valve body and such.
See if your buddy has a scuba tank and reg and use it to test the internal parts in the trans.
In the past I have sprayed them with carb cleaner or brake cleaner and pulled it out. Then use the same thing to clean it up once on a bench or table. I finish cleaning with brake cleaner as it supposedly leaves no residue. It will be dry so putting it back in should stay clean (without dropping it in the dirt). Once its back in spray everything one more time to flush possible dust away and button it up.
