38mm offset wheels on a 89?
I have a set of ZR1 replica wheels for sale and a local person would like to buy them if they will work on his 89. I know the 89 has the 58mm off set but am woundering if the 38mm offset wheels will work and if so, if there are any problems. I hade a set of 58mm wheels on my 84 and could see that they set in a little so I am a little conserned the 38mm wheels on a 58mm car may cause them to stick out. If anyone has done this please let me know how it went or any problems, I don't want to sell the guy a set of wheels if they are not going to work.

They are definitely going to stick out. The stock offset for the '89 wheels was 56mm so if you put 38mm offset wheels they will sit out further almost 3/4 of an inch.
What you can do is let the person try on a wheel and see how it sits.
