The next in line would be cap/rotor or coil. Also check the elecrical connection to your opti. I have seen water damage to the pins and corrode them. Make sure there is a good connection there, and the pins are clean.
i almost forgot....a small vacuum leak will also create a low rpm miss. If you spray carborator cleaner around the vacuum hoses and places where the vacuum hoses are connected, the engine will bog down if the carb cleaner finds a leak.

So if it's in neutral there's no problem at any RPM?
Pull the cover off the passenger side see if the 3 way vaccum black thing has a hole in it.I have gone through 2 in the last 25,000 miles.
The heat causes them to cave and start a very small vac leak.
#5 spark plug wire in the opti gets rusty and can cause a misfire.
Or its just a 94 that likes to miss on rainy day's.
Mine always has a miss at idle when it rains or when the coolent temp is below 190 deg.
I have tuner cats and tts and I still can't pin it down.
Just o-hulled the trans that was some of it.
just bought it about 3 months ago and today just replaced the battery and cable now my sys light dosent come on anymore thanks for the tips and ill get to the bottom of it
Anybody reading this thread, could it be that the EGR valve(if u have it intack!) has carbon/exhaust deposits and is leaking exhaust into intake manifold at idle(which would make it choke and puke at low RPM)???? Check this by plugging EGR mount with thin piece of aluminum, from like a beer can!!!!
This problem really sounds like emmission control gremlen...
I think a dirty TB and IAC could be causing this. Don't forget to reset the minimum idle air after you clean the IAC. There is a Tech Tip on how to do this.
You know, the more I think about it, the more it sounds like a bad Opti. My Opti had similar symptoms when it was on its last leg. A new Opti Spark is not cheap, though. I always order mine from www.superchevyperformance.com . Ask for Chris -- he gives a discount to Forum members .
To be good at giving information is just as critical as recieveing it.
1.Year
2.Engine
3.Trans
4.Miles on vhl
5.What mods if any done to car?
Then the information can flow.
