Default 96 Lt4

Corrrect me if I'm sounding stupid but I thought in 96 OBDII was fully implemented and the tuning couldn't changed. Or easily changed. I'm not sure what I would want changed or even if anything untill I do some mods. I'm just worried I'm stuck with something that can't be set up to take full advantage of any mods.

Sorry to ask dumb questions, but what would one do to a stock LT4 to maybe say get into the 12's. I hope that's a realistic number with some mods? In other words what to start with.

Default LT1 Edit

Yes, you can change the tuning on a 96 LT4 with LT1/4 Edit.

Lots of mods you can do to LT4. You should be able to run low 13s or high twelves pretty much stock.

It may be possible under the right conditions, however I want solid 12's.

You know I was doing some more reading, (the above link included, thank you STL94LT1) it seems I bought a hell of a lot of car for $8000.00 I had no idea and don't think the seller did either.

Something else I didn't know, and can it be confirmed that all LT4 6 speed cars in 96 came with Dana 44's?

So launching this thing with regular slicks shouldn't be a concern?

OEM clutch will be toast before long with slicks........but with slicks you ought to consistantly hit high 12's....
