I finally got my rebuilt brake M/C and, of course, it doesn't include the plastic reservoirs. I got my old ones off the dead M/C but I cannot seem to get them on the new one. The cups will not go over the seals.
I tried putting the seals on the cups first but then the seal distorts really bad - it would probably still work but doesn't seem right.
How do I get these cups installed? Anyone know any tricks so I don't wreck anything?

Wish I could help, but my manuals are blocks away and my MC came with reservoirs installed
The Shop Manual says to use a special tool and an arbor press to get them in. I was hoping someone might have an idea how to get around this requirement.
If all else fails, I suppose I could get the tool but I would rather not if someone has a better idea.
I contacted Kent-Moore and the tool is discontinued and none of the dealers near me have any idea what I am talking about.
Unless anyone has any better ideas, I am probably going to have to return this one and get one from ecklers or similar.
Of course, this one already has the aftermarket bias spring installed so I will have to remove it and install the old then start over with the new MC - Oh Joy.
The Shop Manual for the 86 mentions using a metal pipe with a 26mm OD and a 22mm ID instead of the Kent-Moore tool. It just so happens that those are the dimensions of 3/4" Sched 40 conduit (almost exactly - the ID is a little bigger but no problem). After a trip to Lowes the problem is solved.
