the 8.5s won't be far off.
Remember, a 9.5 sticks out 1/2" more than a 8.5 with the same offset.

I think your inner well does not have the clearence that the older ones do.
On my 86 and 94 I run 11.5-17 with a 56mm off set it is flush with the wheel well.
I think you will have to remove the inner well.
If you have a dana 44 it just might clear but check the break lines.
