I don't believe they are metric, but even if they are, what the automakers have done for many years now is to use a flarenut on these lines that is a size or two larger than the corresponding tubing. If you ever have to make up or install a new line at the MC, you can get adapters to use the standard lines. Or, you can always install the old nut on the new line and reflare. ALWAYS double flare brake lines. I always double flare anything, if I'm going to bother.
