Default Antenna won't go down

The power antenna on my 92 coupe just stopped going down. What do I look for or check first?

I would first check the fuses. Then I'd check the relay located under the plastic trim back by the rear hatch latch...at least that's where it was on my '87. One wire should have 12v to it all the time to power it down, another wire should just have 12v to it with the radio and ignition on.

Do you hear the antenna motor run when you turn on the radio? If yes, then you probably have a broken ribbon. If not, check the courtsey light fuse in the fuse panel.

If the motor runs but the antenna doesn't move, you'll probably want to see this:

Try pushing down or pulling up on the antenna mast gently. If it's sliding up and down, the mast plastic cord is broke. You may hear the motor running too. If all is firm, it could be the relay, wiring, or circuit and/or fuse..
