bell housing help

I had similar problem, I couldn't get the fork free, so I had to use an allen to remove the ball stud. If memory serves, I believe you have to rotate clockwise as it goes into the housing. Sounds like you got it though... good stuff.

It's suppose to slide out of the way.
I unsrewed it to remove it, when I installed it, I had it all the way over on to the side, then slide it over like your suppose to. They're real easy to bend!

well good news and bad news, the cluth works great it releases at the bottom and feels good, but there is a really loud ticking noise now that i'm finished(really sucks) I don't want to drive it too much anyone have any ideas

The dust cover tends to get dinged by the starter. This results in the little taps you hearing, unfortunately you need to pull the starter to fix it. Try to listen for it 1st though to make sure that's it.

so the dust cover is the little metal piece in between the bellhousing and the engine block correct? And how do I correct this?
