Default Will universal catalytic converters work?
I may need catalytic converters. Will the universal type available at various muffler shops be okay? Will they hurt performance? I want my car to be legal but I don't want to choke it either.

Check out the Carsound brand or Random Technologies.

They really are not that much more expensive, but provide better flow, hense, more horsepower.

What about Catco from Summit? they run about $60. Does the Random Tech light off hot enough for the smog cops?

I put a Catco 3" universal cat on mine this past summer. Passed smog in August. Dyno results from all my mods are in sig. Good luck with yours.
