How to replace Headliner in Targa top?

How to replace Headliner in Targa top?

I have the material and the glue, but how is the best way to install the new headliner material? Do you remove the hardware around the top somehow or do you slip the edges under with a thin blade. Anyone know the best way? I haven't tried it yet and I don't want to mess it up or do a poor job. Please help. Thanks

I just cut the material a little oversized and tucked it under with a thin blade

Make sure you use a glue that will withstand the heat from the summer.

I ended up using Bagre cement.. 3M left the headliner sitting on the seat one hot summer day.

I know you probabally don't want to hear this, but I brought mine to the upholstery shop, and picked it up the next day. It cost me 65 cash, which included materials, and it was/is perfect 3 years later.

I wish I could figure out how to get the sunvisors out and i would take them there too.
