In a traditional rocker, how much
power is lost as friction?
Certain claims, seem exagerated.

I think it is hard to determine exactly how much friction you eliminate unless you get good dyno numbers post installation.

I can say that prior to installing 1.6 full rollers (folcrums and tips), turniing my L98 over by hand at the crank damper bolt was like turning a screw into concrete. After installation of the rollers, the motor turned over by hand like I had no rocker arms on the motor at all. The motor also climbs the tach much more effortlessly then it used to.

I think full rollers eliminate a big point of internal friction inside the motor.

Just my 02.
If you can't afford the pushrods springs and rr 1.6 don't bother the engine.
If you run the rr 1.6 and not the springs, when you over rev the engine
it will tear up the underside of the rr .
I went the cheap route first and ate the roller rockers under the roller.
I went with the bee hive springs ,comp cams mag rr. hardened push rod titanium retainers .
Now I run the motor all day long at 6200 .
You will not believe the power you will pick up when you change the
springs.
It's easy to change just get out the drummel tool and cut the drip rails from the valve cover get 2 vc gaskets, then rope and replace the springs.
It only takes about 4 hours to replace the springs.

I put in LT4 springs, retainers and new pushrods. You should do the springs and the rods (as well as vlave stem seals) or don't waste your time.

Perhaps someone who knows what they are doing,
could do a calculation. What is the coeficient of
sliding friction, oiled steel on steel?
Keep in mind, that total friction hoursepower, is something like 50 hp, at high rpm.
In technical discussions, I just don't see
rocker fulcrum friction discussed......
except by people selling fancy rockers.
