Default Targa mufflers?

I have seen these in Mid-America, does anyone have them? If so what do they sound like? I am looking for a little meaner sound out of my 96' but want to keep the stock LT1 style tips. Any other suggestions?
I will probably wait until the cruise-in and listen to as many as possible before final decision.
Thanks!
Ben

I use the ones with the ZR1 style tips, growly at idle and pretty loud when you hit it.

I have the Stainless steel Targa muffler tips from Mid America on my "89" but, they have a lot of resonance (very annoying after awhile). Sounds very aggressive when standing behind the Vette when revved up!

Since my vette was totaled recently, I'm going with the 50 series Flowmasters on my next Vette.

I believe I have the Targa mufflers on my 84. I say believe because I'm not sure. They were installed on the car when I bought it. I located a pair in one of the magazines and they appear to be the same. Anyway my car sounds good, to me that is. I also have a gutted cat. Very deep sound.

Have a muffler shop cut the mufflres off and then install a traight piece of pipe. you can have them cut the OEM tips off the mufflers and attach them to the new pipe.

This will give you a nice sound that is quiet at cruise and sound like a Vette should when you climb on it. A shop should not charge more than $50 to 75 for this.

I do not think the targa mufflers will have a large enough ID to meet the current exhaust you have.
I have them with no Cats and they are really loud!
